Coffee, tea, and dessert will be available along with three hours of live music from 7 to 10 p.m. featuring three local up-and-coming acts. The teen event is free thanks in large part to a generous sponsorship made by State Farm Insurance, the Lanza Insurance Agency of Harrison.
Singer-songwriter and Mahopac High School Junior Natalie Austin promises to captivate with a unique style and musical intuition that is well beyond her 16 years. Her influences range from classic rock to country to jazz and blues.
Singer Jack Lanza, a junior at John Jay High School in Cross River is usually found performing with The Rolling Tones, a student-run a capella group, but at Lee's Cafe he goes solo. He studied at the Lagond School of Music and now spends most of his free time collaborating with his brother Alex on original material.
Band members Phil Harlan and Lukas Arbogast comprise the indie electronic duo known as Harlan & Ford. Hailing from Ossining, they will perform a mix of computer-driven beats and textures mixed with live guitars, vocals and projected visualizations.
The Cafe was inspired by the theater’s Founder, Lee Pope, in recognition of her support of the arts and cultural events in Westchester. It is is an ongoing Art Gallery community event series and will feature a mix of revolving exhibits, music, and beverages and food along with live performances. Unfortunately, no unaccompanied minors will be permitted.
